- Stayed in some two bit motel in Colby. The place seems notable only because it exists on bend along the otherwise dead straight Interstate 70.
- Things changed dramatically the very moment I crossed the state line from Kansas to Colorado, the roads are noticeably better and the speed limit is 75mph.
- I stopped at the Colorado state information rest station and collected a bunch of information about the place - really worth the stop to find out about stuff actually .... and I scored a bonus "Visit Colorado" trucker cap.
- I got bored with the Interstate 70 and decided to try and take a short cut (ummm, yeah, a short-cut along a straight road... I was bored) anyway I thought I had ~70 miles of fuel (plenty) but about 15 miles after turning off the Interstate 70 I hit my reserve - anyway, I made it back to a town along the Interstate 70 and got pulled over by police because I did not fit in. I explained I was running on vapours and he offered to follow me into the next fuel stop 9 miles down the road (i.e. he wanted me gone!) - 100 ft from the pump my bike stopped and I pushed her in !!
- I stayed in Denver in some kind of swanky hotel (Hotel Teatro) where they sneak into your room like Ninjas and turn your bed down - seriously I must have lost concentration for a moment while I farted and the room was all re-configured.
- Denver is OK I guess though it's not like I stayed long.
